Indian Mound Paddle on the Etowah River

This 17-mile paddle takes in Cartersville from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. The second installment in the Etowah Adventurer series, this trip takes you from Allatoona Dam to Euharlee on a 17-mile course through history. Portage around Cartersville's Thompson-Weinman Dam and paddle past the Indian Mounds and Antebellum plantations before reaching Euharlee and the town's famous covered bridge over Euharlee Creek. Pre-registration is required. Canoe rentals are available through Adventure Rome 'N Around and CRBI with discounts available to CRBI members. The trip is free to CRBI members. Regular annual membership dues are $35 and you can join online.
