Hosted by the Georgia Ultrarunning & Trailrunning Society on Red Top Mountain State Park's Iron Hill Trail. 8 a.m. 11.5 mile trail race begins. 10 a.m. Kids Trail Trot begins. Race is limited to 250 runners. 11.5 mile trail race features moderate to easy wooded trails with several bridge crossings and beautiful views of Allatoona Lake. Multiple aid stations along the course with a variety of food, drink and support. Course time limit is 2:45. Awards presented to Top 10 Male & Female, Overall Master and Overall Grandmaster. Finisher awards to all Kids Trail Trot participants. Pre-registered participants receive a shirt and goodie bag. Post race festivities include plenty of food & raffle prizes. Registration fees: Trail race $35 until 1/1/09, $45 thereafter; Kids Trail Trot $5.
