Winter Solstice Hikes

 Hikers and amateur astronomers are invited to join the Cartersville Parks & Recreation Department as they host these guided hike on Cartersville's Pine Mountain Trail to celebrate the first day of winter. The hike departs from the West Trailhead at I-75 Exit 288. Participants may wish to bring a flashlight. Hike may be canceled due to bad weather. See times below:
Morning Hike - arrive at 6:45 AM and depart at 7:00 AM
Evening Hike - arrive at 5:00 PM and depart at 5:15 PM

Directions
EAST LOOP TRAILHEAD: I-75 Exit 290, GA 20 east, then right at traffic light onto Spur 20. Go approximately 4 miles to parking area on right. WEST LOOP TRAILHEAD: I-75 Exit 288, go east, then right at Pine Mountain Trail and Komatsu signs. The trailhead parking area is on the left just before the gated entrance to Komatsu.
