New in 2008, the US Disc Dog National Final and the International Disc Dog Finals formerly held in Louisville KY, will join the Georgia State Frisbee Dog Championships to create an exciting and entertaining three-day event of canine grace and agility. The Georgia State Frisbee Dog Championships will begin on Friday at 2 p.m. and will serve as a qualifier for the prestigious US Disc Dog National Finals to be held on Saturday. Only the top teams in the world will be invited to compete for the International Disc Dog Finals on Sunday. Friday's state championship is open to all purebred and mixed-breed dogs and their owners. Teams of all skill levels are welcome. Come and witness some amazing acrobatic feats, powerful leaps and astounding catches as competitors from around the nation go paw-to-paw for the Georgia State title and the last chance to advance to the US National Finals. Free to spectators, teams may enter for a nominal fee. Presented by the Greater Atlanta Dog & Disc Club in association with Woof! Sports.
