Red Top Mountain State Park, Cartersville, Georgia Saturday 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Iron Pour begins at 9 p.m. Experience the natural history of Red Top Mountain State Park and the surrounding area as experts help you dig into the past, uncovering secrets and hidden treasures. Archaeology month is brought to life through hands-on demonstrations and informative programs highlighting the natural and historical aspects of this region and its inhabitants. Watch two different iron furnaces in action and learn about the process of converting natural resources into a finished product.
