Hours Limited at Etowah Indian Mounds State Historic Site
Beginning June 16, Etowah Indian Mounds State Historic Site will only be open Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. State budget cuts have severely limited the opportunities to visit one of the most important Mississippian Cultural Sites in the Southeast. Children Love Tellus: Georgia's Newest Science Museum!

It's official! The Bartow History Center is now the Bartow History Museum. Anticipating a move to the newly renovated 1869 courthouse, the Museum changed its name to better identify its mission of making our shared history come alive. Stretch Your Legs With An Overnight in Cartersville
Recently D.K. Christi from Florida stopped by for an overnight stay in Cartersville. As she has done many times before, she set out for an evening hike on one of our many trails. This evening she was pleased that the hotel staff shared a desk copy of Along Interstate 75 by Dave Hunter, and followed their recommendation for a hike on Cartersville's Pine Mountain Trail.
