Cartersville, Georgia is proud to be the host city for the Georgia state preliminary pageants for the MISS USA and MISS TEEN USA pageants, both productions of the Miss Universe Organization - a joint venture of Donald Trump and NBC. Cartersville is a lovely community that unites the metro Atlanta area with the north Georgia mountains. Located north of Atlanta on Interstate 75 at Exit 288, Cartersville extends its true southern hospitality to all contestants and their families!

On November 7-8, 2008, Cartersville will host the 2009 state pageants once again at the Woodland Performing Arts Theatre. Tickets for both Preliminary Shows and Final Shows will be available for purchase in October 2008 from the Cartersville-Bartow County Convention & Visitors Bureau. Amanda Kozak was crowned the 2008 Miss Georgia USA on November 10, 2007 at the Woodland Performing Arts Theatre. Earlier on the same day, hundreds filled the Woodland Theatre to see Shannon Geraghty crowned the 2008 Miss Georgia Teen USA. In 2008, Kozak and Geraghty will represent Georgia in the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants respectively. Congratulations ladies! In addition, the Cartersville-Bartow County Convention & Visitors Bureau salutes Miss Bartow County Teen USA Kayla Cannon, selected for the Top 15 in the 2008 Miss Georgia Teen USA pageant!
