![]() Noble Hill-Wheeler Memorial Center WebsitePO Box 67 2361 Joe Frank Harris Pkwy Cassville GA 30123 770-382-3392 Listed on the National Register of Historic Places Break out the schoolbooks at this black history museum and cultural center housed in the former Noble Hill Rosenwald School. Built in 1923, this was the first school in northwest Georgia constructed with Rosenwald funds. These funds were dedicated specifically to the education of black children. Open Tuesday-Saturday 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Closed Sunday and Monday. Handicap Accessible. No admission charged, although donations are accepted. Directions: from Atlanta, go north on I-75 to Exit 293. Go south on US 411, then north on US 41. Go past the exit to Rome approximately 1.5 miles to traffic light. Museum is on the left just beyond traffic light. |
